Senior adults in Group TherapyFor the appropriate clientele, group music therapy can be a more cost effective therapy option that provides a dynamic and productive experience in today’s educational and care institutions.  (Please see Services menu for more details on specific conditions.)  A board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) will design the appropriate program using “client-preferred music” for your group’s needs.

The research says:

In this experimental group of 111 volunteer subjects “Group drumming resulted in…increased natural killer cell activity…which demonstrated immune modulation in a direction opposite to that expected with the classical stress response.” (IE: Drumming together in a group modified the immune system in a way that would suggest the absence of stress.)
